New political party launched on Pentecost

by admin

As the declaration of a vacant seat in the Pentecost constituency looms, a new political party was launched on North Pentecost over the weekend.

Called the Household Prosperity Party (HPP), the founder and president of the HPP, Pastor Samson Tari Vatubulu from Lavusaulu village and his people launched the party with an aim to improve the livelihood of rural households.

Reports from North Pentecost confirmed that the official launching was made last Saturday and it was witnessed by eight of his chairmen around over 100 people around Vatumalvanua.

“In the past the main focus is on the islands, provinces and country but our focus is on individual households,” the HPP president told Daily Post.

The HPP already has a proposed candidate for the PENAMA Provincial election in May and it intends to field a candidate in the Pentecost by-election.
