, The Vanua’aku Pati (VP) is loyal to the Salwai-led Government.
VP National Coordinator, Avio Roberts, said the party has supported the government since its formation and will continue to support it.
“We will make sure that Prime Minister Charlot Salwai will complete his term, this government has VP’s full support,” said Mr Roberts.
Asked about the signatures of two VP MPs on the motion of no confidence, he said the two VP MPs have withdrawn their signatures.
“There were only two VP MPs that signed the motion when they were with the opposition, it is believed that they signed an old motion and their signatures were used on this motion,” he added.
The VP National coordinator said the two MPs are the new Minister of Agriculture, Hosea Nevu and MP Toara Daniel.
He made the clarification in an interview with Kizzy Kalsakau from 96Buzz FM.
