Approaching 100%, All Papuans Declare Their Rejection of the Papua Special Autonomy Law (UU)

The Special Autonomy Law is only enforced by Jakarta for the sake of ‘Political Economy – and this is a big disaster for the Papuan people’

Yesterday Saturday, (11/14/2020) at 10.43 Papuan time, the chiefs of Byak (Mananwir) Kainkain Karkara Byak (KKB) held a Special Plenary in response to the Saireri Adat Region Hearing Meeting (RDP) planned for November 17-18, 2020 in Biak.

On the occasion of the Special Plenary of Kainkain Karkara Byak (KKB), on behalf of the Byak Indigenous People, Manfun Kawasa Byak Mananwir Apolos Sroyer appointed Mananwir Harrij Ronsumbre as Chairman of the Byak Indigenous Community formulation team to be submitted to the Papuan People’s Assembly (MRP).

There is only one conclusion to the statement of attitude of the Mananwir Biak, namely; REFERENDUM. This statement will be sent to the MRP, ULMWP, the Papuan Church Council and international parties.
